It's just about 6 months until the Tahoe 200. I have had two solid months of mileage. In fact, it is the most miles I have ever run in January and February, including eight 26+ mile weekends in a row. And I have been throwing in some hills as well. But a week ago I did some sets of stairs at Swallow Cliffs in Palos with a solid 17 miles. It was only 5 sets, but it let me know something very important. I feel I am pretty fit after these couple months, but the stairs told me I am not particularly strong. I have a lot of work to do on that score, but I do have 6 months. Hill and stairs work is definitely in my future. I'm also actually doing some strength and core work which I've never really done before.
Except for maybe some shorter races that might be added, my race schedule is pretty well set.
